Size Does Matter - Choosing a Curling Iron
Choosing a barrel size on a curling iron dictates curl size. Make sure you choose a curling iron that will create the hair style you want!General Barrel Size Guide:
Small 3/4" inch barrel will create tight, spiral curls.
Medium 1 1/4" inch barrel creates loose, wavy curls.
Large 1 1/2" or larger barrels are ideal for creating volume or just to smooth hair.
Keep in mind that if you want loose curls you should use the lowest heat setting should do the job. If your hair is extremely fine, limp or curl resistant you can bump up the heat a few degrees.
